Couple Names Son "2.0"

As I've said all along, "The Geek Shall Inherit the Earth." Here's more proof. A Michigan couple has just named their new baby as if it were a software upgrade. Read the article.


Jon Blake Cusack, from Holland, Michigan, told local newspapers the US practice of adding "Junior" or "II" after a boy's name was too common. So, when his son was born last week, he decided on the name Jon Blake Cusack 2.0, as if he were a software upgrade. Mr Cusack admitted that it took months to persuade his wife, Jamie, to accept the idea. His wife Jamie Cusack said she asked several friends if they approved of the name. All the men, she said, felt the name was "cool". However her women friends were less impressed. "There's a lot of new features from Version 1.0 [Mr Cusack himself] with additional features from Jamie," Mr Cusack said.

  Jake Matthew Thompson 2.0 was born on Feb 4, 2004 - at 4:34 AM at St. Joseph Medical center in Tacoma, WA. To proud parents Kyle and Dawn of Olalla Washington.
  The 2.0 in the name is kind of to be used like you would use the name
  the 2nd or Jr. or Sr. Only it shows a future type name for the new century.
  It also can be used to show the first of a family line to be born after the year 2000 and or the only one to be born in a certain state in this case, Washington.
It also can show that the name is just borrowing a name from one of it's
parents and does not mean it is a Jr., or the 2 nd.
As it in this case. Kyle Matthew Thompson the father lends his middle name
as Jake's Bible name. Making him Jake Matthew Thompson 2.0
Kyle and Dawn and Jake are doing fine. They have been talks with the book
of world's records. Also the WEBSTERS dictionary all about the 2.0 being added with new
meaning. As it use to be 2.0 would be used to show a new version of computer
programing had just come out. The computer companies would use 2.5 or 3.0 each time a new update was made available and was better then the last.
  Jake could be a famous Baseball player win he grows up. There has already
been some talk about him acting and modeling.
Basically the parents had the idea without really ever watching the tv show on
the UPN network called JAKE 2.0 but heard of it.
But plan on Seeing more of Jake on the net and on tv, maybe even Jay Leno or Oprah.
Kyle is a local actor who has done some small tv theater and film work and so he has connected with some famous talk shows.
Dawn is one of the TOP house Keepers at a nursing home.
There are only 3 known children in the world using the 2.0 name.

Nova's Trip to Edge of Space

    In 1999 I flew to the edge of space with the Russian air force, with Space Adventures. I made it to an altitude of just under 100,000 feet and flew at Mach 3 in a Mig-25 piloted by one of Russia's best test-pilots. These pics were taken by Space Adventures from similar flights to mine. I didn't take digital stills -- I got the whole flight on digital video, which was featured on the Discovery Channel.

    In 1999 I was invited to Russia as a guest of the Russian Space Agency to participate in zero-gravity training on an Ilyushin-76 parabolic flight training aircraft. It was really fun!!!! Among other people on that adventure were Peter Diamandis (founder of the X-Prize and Zero-G Corporation), Bijal Trivedi (a good friend of mine, science journalist), and "Lord British" (creator of the Ultima games).   • Peter F. Drucker
    Peter F. Drucker was my grandfather. He was one of my principal teachers and inspirations all my life. My many talks with him really got me interested in organizations and society.     Marin Spivack is my brother. He is the one of the only western 20th generation lineage holders of the original Chen Family Tai Chi tradition in China. He's been practicing Tai Chi for about 6 to 10 hours a day for the last 10 years and is now one of the best and most qualified Tai Chi teachers in America. He just returned from 3 years in China studying privately with a direct descendant of the original Chen family that created Tai Chi.     Louise specializes in art-restoration. She does really big projects like The Museum of Fine Arts in Boston, The Gardner Museum and Harvard University. She's also a psychotherapist and she's married to my dad. She likes really smart parrots and she knows how to navigate a large sailboat.

    Bram is an astrophysicist and college pal of mine. We spend hours and hours brainstorming about cellular automata simulations of the universe. He's one of the smartest people I ever met.
  • Bari Koral
    Bari Koral is a really talented singer songwriter. We co-write songs together sometimes. She's getting some buzz these days -- she recently opened for India Arie.     Adam Cohen is a long-term friend; we were roommates in college. He is a really talented composer and film-scorer. He doesn't have a Web site but I like him anyway! He's in Hollywood living the dream.
