Jim Hendler, who co-created the OWL language of the Semantic Web has written an interesting post where he comes out with his refutation against criticisms of the Semantic Web.

Actually, I think your original title was correct. The part I question is the idea that Hendler is refutting criticisms of the semantic web. While that’s partially true (especially in the case of Shirky & O’Reilly, it seems), his post is mostly about adamantly denouncing things that I said that he actually agrees with.

I'd like to point out that "Chaotic Semantic Web" is actually a phrase that I coined - in the post that Jim is evidently refuting. The fact that you've conflated our two points of view only underscores my position that Jim and I are actually in violent agreement!
